The year is already off to a busy start for Europe’s royal families. In Sweden, Crown Princess Victoria and her family took to the ski slopes to offer their wishes for a happy new year in 2025.
In Bulgaria, Queen Margarita is celebrating her 90th birthday. Born into a family broken apart by European history and orphaned at a very young age, she later shared the fate of Simeon II and the Bulgarian royal family.
In the Middle East, Jordan’s royal family gathered for the funeral of Princess Majda Ra’ad, wife of the claimant to the Iraqi throne. In France, Sheikh Mansour is continuing his investments: he has just purchased a Normandy château and its stud farm for €26.8 million.
