THE COURT

The Court organises the public responsibilities of the Paris Praxis. The Prince, Primogen and Offices do not replace the territorial authorities of the seven Bourgs.

In Paris, authority is measured by those who must answer for its decisions.

Authority never stands alone

François Villon rules Paris, but the city is not governed by a continuous stream of decrees. The Council, the Offices and the Bourgs turn every decision into a chain of responsibilities. A favour granted today may become the decisive argument in a negotiation years later.

02 / The Council

Eight voices around the throne

The Primogen govern Paris alongside the Prince. They are neither a human parliament nor a ceremonial assembly: each carries interests, memory and a real ability to make a decision possible, costly or dangerous.

03 / The Bourgs

Administration without ownership

The Bourgmestres answer for their territory, its balance and its uses. Their office organises Paris without dividing the capital into independent princedoms. The city remains a single Praxis, and every territorial authority remains accountable to the Court.

04 / The offices

Distinct responsibilities

A Keeper protects the Peace of Paris when a place becomes Elysium; the office does not govern the Bourg. The Prévôt and the Milice enforce decisions under their own responsibilities. In Paris, mistaking an office for a personal privilege is a political fault before it is an error of vocabulary.
