Le Succubus, a well-known fixture of eastern Paris nightlife, closed for three consecutive evenings without prior notice. Employees were given exceptional leave, and bookings were cancelled by message only hours before opening time. Rumours quickly suggested a health inspection, a licensing problem or a narcotics case. None of these theories was confirmed. Management referred only to an internal review and minor technical work. The venue reopened on Thursday evening with its usual hours and no visible changes. Several regulars nevertheless say they noticed new security staff and stricter access checks for private areas. The prefecture says it issued no administrative closure. In the neighbourhood, the episode has raised smiles: three nights of silence were enough to produce more rumours than three months of programming. Management still refuses to say more.
