Dr Antoine Lemaître, 46, an emergency doctor at a hospital in eastern Paris, has not been heard from since Monday evening. His car was found on Thursday morning in Saint-Denis, parked and locked. No personal effects that might explain a voluntary departure were found inside. Colleagues describe a punctual doctor, deeply committed to his department and with no known professional dispute. An investigation into a concerning disappearance has been opened. Police are examining traffic cameras and the last calls made from his telephone. Several hospital staff members gathered outside the establishment on Friday to call for the search to continue without delay. According to a source close to the case, the vehicle’s interior appeared to have been cleaned with unusual care, but investigators have declined to comment. The doctor’s family is asking anyone who has seen him since the beginning of the week to contact the police.
