Three men found dead in car near the Paris ring road

Three men were found dead on Wednesday morning in an abandoned vehicle near the Paris ring road. Initial findings describe a particularly violent scene, with no visible bullet holes in the bodywork. Equipment that may be connected to security work or arms trafficking was seized from the boot. The victims, aged between their thirties and fifties, had not all been formally identified by Thursday evening. Their injuries suggest a very rapid attack carried out at close range. Investigators are trying to determine whether the case can be connected to several unsolved violent incidents reported since the beginning of winter. A police source nevertheless urges caution and says investigators currently favour the theory of a gangland settling of scores. Forensic analysis must establish whether one person could have caused all the injuries observed.
