02 / Identity

A sensitive place of care and observation, associated with Adrien Moreau without becoming his refuge or property.

03 / Nocturnal reading

Observations accumulate at Sainte-Anne: records, professional habits, changes in behaviour and details other places might miss. No one has taken control of the hospital. Its institutional memory is nevertheless enough to protect some stories and expose others.

Adrien Moreau remains associated with Sainte-Anne through his former work as a psychiatrist and the historical and psychological hold the place has on him. The hospital is neither his refuge nor a “Malkavian hospital”. It is a human institution, with its own staff, patients and responsibilities.

Éléonore Varennes refuses to let mortal psychological distress become a routine cover for supernatural violations. Discrediting a witness may work once. Repeated often enough, the method creates records, correlations and institutional harm that threaten the Masquerade as much as the people involved. Sainte-Anne demands attention to whatever persists.
