27 PUBLIC KINDRED
01 / CLAN AND TERRITORY
Toréador influence in Paris is old, but it cannot be reduced to art and salons. Their public power runs through the government of the Praxis, reputation, cultural institutions, events and social codes capable of making a presence visible without making it legible.
François Villon is Prince of Paris and Roi de France. Claudia de Lyon sits on the Council, Lucille governs La Cour, Paolo Mercon administers La Forteresse and Augustin Lemaire keeps Elysium in Les Hautes Terres. This concentration of offices does not make Paris Toréador property.
The clan knows how to turn culture, prestige and visibility into political instruments. That skill also increases its exposure: an uncontrolled image, a scandal or an institution that suddenly rejects the expected narrative can directly harm those who govern through reputation.

Lucille / DJ WildBlood
Explore the associated Bourg: La CourShe governs visibility and public narrative in the most exposed Bourg in Paris.
La Cour cannot be invisible. Lucille administers it among monuments, cultural institutions, events and scenes where a reputation can be created or destroyed in a single night. Under the name DJ WildBlood, she understands trends, the desire to be seen and the way a presence becomes a political signal.
Her method is less about hiding than directing attention. She observes who is invited, photographed, followed or suddenly absent, then shapes the narrative surrounding those appearances. This attention does not turn La Cour into a Toréador fief: her office requires her to arbitrate local ambitions, preserve the Masquerade and answer to the Praxis for territorial consequences.
Yet that mastery has a limit: some incidents refuse to become an acceptable story. An image circulates, an institution closes ranks, an absence remains visible. Lucille must then govern what can no longer be embellished and decide which reputation to protect without sacrificing the balance of the Bourg.
Her institutional contradiction with Héloïse Saint-Clair is a useful one. Lucille thinks in terms of influence, visibility and scene; Héloïse thinks in terms of plausibility, access and traces. One attracts or diverts attention, while the other ensures it reveals nothing that might endanger the Peace of Paris.

Paolo Mercon
Explore the associated Bourg: La ForteresseHe coordinates established powers without claiming to own what he does not control.
In La Forteresse, an official title may carry less weight than powers established at the scale of a street, a community or an underground network. Paolo Mercon governs from that reality. He does not turn every limit of his authority into a personal affront and does not claim to solve alone a mosaic no one controls completely.
He represents the Bourg before the Praxis, arbitrates boundaries and coordinates those able to act on the ground. His role is also to prevent a local conflict from spilling over or highly visible autonomy from drawing a disproportionate response onto the territory. To say that an issue requires several authorities is a political skill for him, not an admission of powerlessness.
That responsibility grants him no absolute sovereignty. Paolo must identify the people a neighbourhood genuinely recognises, bring their interests into a shared decision and maintain a boundary the Praxis can understand. He governs through coordination.
Idriss Koné completes this method by reading rights of property, maintenance and access. Paolo understands uses and the powers recognised by residents; Idriss recalls the reality of formal chains. Their friction protects La Forteresse from two opposing illusions: believing that law is sufficient or pretending that it never matters.

Augustin Lemaire
Explore the associated Bourg: Les Hautes TerresGuardian of Les Hautes Terres. He uses the codes of privilege to make a gathering socially explainable.
Augustin Lemaire understands the customs of private collections, sales and circles where restricted access surprises no one. He does not seek absolute discretion, which would attract attention, but a level of prestige able to explain the guests, staff and restrictions without turning the place itself into a story.
Constance de Rouvray knows the great fortunes and networks of influence; Augustin masters their social infrastructure. This proximity does not subordinate his office to the Bourgmestre. When the Peace of Paris applies, he carries its authority within the Elysium, including before owners and the most established figures of the Bourg. Privilege provides cover; it never becomes the source of the Peace.

Claudia de Lyon
Claudia de Lyon treats culture as an infrastructure of power. Reputation, patronage, programming and scandal become channels through which authority circulates.
Claudia is one of the longest-standing voices on the contemporary Council. She reads cultural institutions, criticism, patronage and scandal as political routes. The Palais Garnier captures her method: a monument visible to everyone whose nocturnal uses remain opaque to almost all.
She often waits for others to reveal their positions before reframing the issue through reputation and duration. Her relationship with Villon is old and functional. She knows that a stable Praxis protects the institutions she built, even when she denies the Prince the comfort of immediate approval.

Adrien Sorel
Explore the associated Bourg: La CourAdrien is handsome, celebrated in the right circles and convinced that a room gains value when he enters it. He frequents Succubus Paris and wants Paris to reclaim its position as the cultural capital of European nights.
Public Kindred
Albertine
Explore the associated Bourg: La CourAlbertine is among the oldest authorities of the Maison Saint-Michel and the Parisian Nephilim. She long kept the house on a cautious course, avoiding open confrontation with the power of François Villon.
Public Kindred
Damien Marval
Explore the associated Bourg: La TorcheEmbraced alongside Élise after years of working together, Damien leans towards audiences and improvisation. His accessibility serves as protection, yet he refuses to remain merely the agreeable half of a performing pair.
Public Kindred
Gabriel
Explore the associated Bourg: La CourGabriel readily confuses desire, aesthetic choice and ownership. He turns people into accessories to his own legend and often believes his charm makes consent secondary.
Public Kindred
Jeanne Ostel
Explore the associated Bourg: La TorcheA dancer, stage technician and costume designer, Jeanne was Embraced after an illicit performance in an abandoned venue. She treats beauty as an action upon bodies. Her aesthetic freedom hides a fear of vanishing from other people’s memories.
Public Kindred
Louis Frémont
Explore the associated Bourg: La CourLouis Frémont is an experienced Toreador, courteous and almost always calm. He intervenes when discretion, Court custom and control of a scandal matter more than a show of force.
Public Kindred
Ludiwine Mihalle
Explore the associated Bourg: La TorcheLudiwine knows the salons where possession is presented as patronage. Within the Pourpre network, she opposes those who turn people into accessories and subordinate their choices to a supposedly superior aesthetic.
Public Kindred
Morgan
Explore the associated Bourg: La CourA longstanding Nephilim loyalist, Morgan knows the hierarchy and customs of the Maison Saint-Michel. He remains attached to its continuity and former obligations. The exact circumstances of his withdrawal are not part of the public record.
Public Kindred
Nina Soler
Explore the associated Bourg: La TorcheA former stage performer, Nina understands audiences better than works of art and has built a nocturnal hospitality network. Her apparent humanity is a technique. She despises elders who treat young artists as a reservoir of sensations.
Public Kindred
Portia
Explore the associated Bourg: La CourPortia appears under a social identity connected to Succubus Paris. She listens more than she speaks and turns casual questions into examinations of loyalties, sires and paths of Blood. Her Court identity remains deliberately incomplete.
Public Kindred
Tomas Visser
Explore the associated Bourg: La CourA brilliant and ambitious disciple, Tomas turned his proximity to the old authorities of the Maison Saint-Michel into a claim to power. He works through ritual, staging and control of access, without this record resolving the House’s internal tensions.
Public Kindred
Élise Marval
Explore the associated Bourg: La TorcheEmbraced alongside Damien after years in a performing company, Élise wants to preserve the precision of their duo. Their resemblance comes from a shared artistic education. She fears, however, that this discipline may become a perfect dependency.
Public Kindred
Adrian d’Ashbourne
Raymond de Roseçendre’s childe, Adrian owes part of his position at Court to that lineage. The protection of Villon’s Musketeers opens further doors without making him one of them. This Toreador is learning to navigate a society where the people willing to answer for you matter as much as titles.
Public Kindred
Baby Face
A Toreador and streamer, Baby Face is known far beyond Kindred society. Her European travels in 2025 bring her into contact with a wide range of personalities. She occupies an unusual place in Parisian relations: a recognisable media presence who looks little like a conventional Court diplomat.
Public Kindred
Élaine de Loris
A seventh-generation Toreador, Élaine de Loris is a Camarilla Alastor and Raymond de Roseçendre’s sire. In Paris she acts as a visiting authority rather than a territorial ruler. Her reputation rests on patience, careful verification and an understanding of the networks that allow fugitives to disappear.
Public Kindred
Madelaine
Also recorded as Madeleine, this Toreador is one of the Three Musketeers responsible for François Villon’s close protection. Her service begins before any fighting: controlling access, conveying the Prince’s requirements and assessing reactions. Her personal loyalty to Villon takes precedence over her dealings with other institutions.
Public Kindred
Sophie Dupont
Sophie maintains connections between galleries, commissions, critics and patronage. This Toreador understands how art builds reputations and opens doors.
Villon’s Musketeer
Faustine
Faustine belongs to the Three Musketeers, François Villon’s personal guard. She protects the Prince himself and should not be confused with a Militia officer responsible for order across Paris. Her presence at Court rests on personal loyalty as well as professional competence: she can act when protocol is no longer enough.
Villon’s Musketeer
Inès
Inès is one of the Three Musketeers and serves in Villon’s personal protection. She can speak with courtiers without losing sight of the limits of her duty. Her approachability remains a professional choice: when representing the Prince, she speaks for more than herself. She belongs to his guard, not the Militia.
Independent investigator
Raymond de Roseçendre
Raymond is a former Talamasca Watcher associated with Élaine de Loris. Cultured and methodical, he can investigate and negotiate.
Refugee from Marseille
Bastien Artaud
A former member of the Marseille Court handling receptions and cultural circles, Bastien sought refuge in Paris after 2017, without an official position.
Prévôt, coterie leader
Cassandre Delacroix
Cassandre Delacroix is a Toreador, Prévôt of Paris and leader of La Rose de Suie. Absent from the group meeting, she speaks with Babyface about her music, ambitions and taste for admiration. Behind her assurance emerge human memories and a persistent question: her freedom. Her answers distinguish the responsibilities she accepts from her refusal to be possessed. Her individual interview gives her own voice room to be heard without reducing the Prévôt to the opinions expressed by her Miliciens.

Odile de Chanteloup
Missing since 1969, fate unknown
A former art market intermediary, Odile inherited a network of patrons and reputations with her Embrace. No death has been established. Her notebook remains a source of debts, never proof of survival.
Sigismond de Marigny
Exiled, influence under observation
A former courtier, Sigismond comes from a world where elegance proved legitimacy. He lost his place after protecting an artist who became inconvenient. His memory remains valuable, but his contempt for others makes him dangerous.
Valéran de Fécamp
Exiled since 1769, reduced influence
A former patron and organiser of festivities, Valéran turned artistic protection into a network of dependency. Exiled since 1769, he is not a permanent actor in the present Court. His influence survives mainly through debts and memories.
Émilien de Bressac
Missing since 1981, fate unknown
A former art critic and recruiter of patrons, Émilien judged people as he judged works. He left Paris on a private matter and never returned. Flight, capture and destruction remain possibilities, none of them established.
